Key Learning provides private specialized tutoring, comprehensive educational assessments, educational intervention, and child-first advocacy for families and students navigating educational or social challenges.

Background & Education
KC James is a literacy specialist trained in Orton Gillingham who specializes in working with students in grades K-6.
KC holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas and an associate degree in culinary arts from the New School of Cooking in Los Angeles, CA.
KC has had a thriving private chef business for over 15 years both in California and Texas. She has also been involved in Non-Profit fundraising through the Sierra Club with the Lance Armstrong Foundation. KC is currently pursuing her Master's in Reading and Literacy through Cal State Fullerton.
After advocating for her own daughter's learning support in the school system, KC became passionate about helping other students in their learning journeys. She hopes to empower students to understand themselves as learners and also help families navigate the complex world of learning challenges. When not cooking or helping students learn to read, KC can be found hiking, drawing, or adventuring with her daughter and their dog Izzy.
